Jackson County Suicide Prevention Coalition's goal is to raise awareness and eliminate suicide in Jackson County. We partner and collaborate with organizations and community members to provide evidence-based suicide prevention programming, training and suicide awareness events including the annual Stomp Out Suicide in September. . All in an effort to increase awareness, education and employ strategies critical to the reduction of suicide in Jackson.

To learn more about the Jackson County Suicide Prevention Coalition's efforts to reduce suicide in our community, join us on the first Monday of the month at 4 pm at LifeWays Meeting Rooms at the back of the building.

The coalition is comprised of passionate volunteers throughout the community. We welcome suicide survivors, people who are living with mental illnesses and/or substance use disorders, those involved in community organizations or local businesses or anyone passionate about stopping stigma and saving lives.

If you would like to learn more about the Jackson County Suicide Prevention Coalition, join us at our monthly meeting. Contact Rebecca Calkins at (517) 789-2490 for more information.
