In this video, Ryan explains that object meditation is an expansion of that where the brain instead of focusing on anxious thoughts is allowed to slow down through focusing on ones thoughts and feelings while fixating on an object. Paying special attention to how the object makes them feel, how it smells, what it looks like. This in turn teaches the brain to lose focus on the anxiety and focus it’s attention on something else.
