Wellness Wednesdays

Wellness Wednesdays is a drop in program open to the community. It is offered every Wednesday from 11:15 am – 1:30 pm at the Jackson YMCA. The first hour is an education course that has a different focus each week. Some of the topics include nutrition, stress management, and art. The second hour from 12:30 to 1:30 pm is a free exercise class.

This is a wonderful opportunity for you and a friend or family member to learn something new - for free! Class topics may include yoga, art, Zumba, environmental education, financial stability, cooking and eating healthy, reducing stress, and more. Being healthy is about more than your physical health, but about keeping all aspects of your life well.

Every Wednesday 11 AM - 1:30 PM. Educational class followed by fitness class. Please wear or bring athletic shoes! For more information contact Lindsay Baker at 517-796-4533.

Join the LifeWays crew for our walking club as we practice healthy living on Jackson's favorite walking path!

Stress Less Events

woman smilingCome join LifeWays in our monthly stress less activity! Find out how to beat stress and cope with life's difficulties. Participate in fun activities, eat healthy snacks and learn about community resources to decrease stress! 

Nutrition and Exercise for Wellness and Recovery (NEW-R)

Nutrition and Exercise for Wellness and Recovery (NEW-R) will help participants to make healthier choices and learn how to cook healthy on a budget! Weekly exercise activities will also be practiced!. This is an 8 week program that focuses on nutrition and exercise for healthier living. This is not a drop in style class and requires registration for the whole course. Attendance is important for success in this program.

Tobacco & You: Learn How to Quit Smoking

Learn about healthy living and how to quit smoking with this free smoking cessation group! This 10-week drop in style group session will focus on effects of smoking and prepare individuals to quit smoking.
